Lucy Doherty is an Australian dance artist who is passionate about sharing her love for the art of dance through performance, choreography & teaching. Lucy began her professional performing career internationally at the age of 19 starring in Disney’s Little Mermaid Show in Japan & then later playing the role of Wendy in Universal Studio’s Peter Pan. Since returning to Australia Lucy has appeared in Dance Academy The Movie, So You Think You Can Dance Australia & has worked alongside renowned Australian choreographer Paul Malek over the years as a dancer in many of his productions including Green Room Award Nominated “Yours Truly” and as his assistant including on the most recent season of SYTCD. Other corporate performances include Yamaha, Stereosonic, Nine West, Matrix Hair & many more. Lucy is currently touring Australia as a company member for The Dream Dance Co’s production “Enter The Vortex” Choreographed by Sarah Boulter.
As a choreographer, Lucy debuted her first full length work “One” and toured to four major Australian cities in 2015. The production raised funds and awareness for local cancer care services in each city and was presented by “Dancing For Jane” which she founded in honour of her mother who sadly passed away from breast cancer in 2014. As a teacher Lucy loves to share her passion for dance and encourage aspiring dancers to be themselves and find their own unique possibilities with dance. She travels regularly teaching classes all around Australia, her choreography blends contemporary technique and story telling that pushes dancers to connect & find authenticity in their performance.
Rob McLean is a teacher, dancer and choreographer. Originally from Canberra, Rob is currently based in Sydney and fast becoming one of Australia’s most sought after choreographers and dancers.
As a performer his credits include; Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo, X Factor Australia, Jessica Mauboy, The Dream Dance Company ‘The Secret Society’, The Dream Dance Company “Genesis”, So You Think You Can Dance Australia season 4, Ricki Lee, Dancing For Jane, NRL State of Origin 2015, Telstra, Peter Alexander, Diesel, Australian Dance Festival, Victorian Dance Festival, Crazy Domains, Adobe and many more. Rob is currently rehearsing for The Dream Dance Company’s next show, ‘Enter the Vortex’, choreographed by Sarah Boulter, touring Australia and New Zealand from May 2017.
As a choreographer Rob has exhibited work Internationally at Hennessy VSOP Artistry Awards in Shanghai, and in Australia for multiple events including The Australian Dance Festival, The First VI, Short and Sweet Melbourne, Speakeasy Industry Dance Night in Sydney, Carnival in Sydney and Immersed Dance Industry Night in Melbourne. He has taught and choreographed for many schools and studios around Australia.
Rob is not only a passionate dancer and choreographer, he is also a very well respected teacher, across Australia and overseas. He creates a relaxed and fun environment, at the same time really pushes his students to extend and improve their abilities. His knowledge and unique style of choreography fused with his passion and determination is seeing Rob on many dance conventions and seminars across Australia. Last year Rob taught at the Australian Dance Festival for the third year, and with two of America’s biggest conventions touring Australia in 2016 - NRG and KAR. Rob travelled internationally again, teaching throughout Japan in January and November, as well as performing and choreographing in China late 2015.
Rob has also spent a lot of time working as an adjudicator over the past two years. He has worked for Get The Beat in multiple cities across Australia and New Zealand, and with American dance convention KAR on their second season in Australia last year. In May 2016, Rob was selected as the Australian representative judge for Australia’s first World Of Dance qualifier in Brisbane alongside an incredible international panel, and is again on the panel for 2017.
David McLean is a dancer, teacher and choreographer currently based in Sydney. Originating from Canberra and born in 1992, David has grown up with an appreciation for all styles of dance with a focus on Hip-Hop, and is becoming a well known and sought after name in the dance industry.
David has been lucky enough to work with some incredible international artists such as Justin Bieber & Jason Derulo on the 2015 Australian X Factor, and also Betty Who, where he was one of two featured dancers who travelled and danced with her in her 2016 Australian Tour.
David was featured in the first two seasons of The Dream Dance Company - “Genesis" -Choreographed by Stephen Tannos & "The Secret Society" - Choreographed by Candace Brown. David has also been a part of Performances in the USA including; Richboyz “Ninja”, Federal and Club Jhete, Other various jobs include NRL State of Origin 2015, Australian Dance Festival, Victorian Dance Festival, Stan Walker, Dancing for Jane, Canberra’s “Together”, Carnival LA and Sydney and his training in Break Dancing has allowed him to work many time with Beat The Streets.
As a choreographer David has exhibited work at the Victorian Dance Festival, Australian Hip Hop Championship, Battlegrounds, Dream Dance Industry night & Groove. He has taught and choreographed for some of Sydney and Canberra’s leading dance studios, is highly sought after for workshops around Australia, and taught internationally at Debbie Reynolds studio’s in LA.
David has encountered many rich opportunities to develop himself not only as a dancer, but a teacher and choreographer. He provides all students with knowledge that he has gained from all his own personal experiences on and off stage and furthers their development by pushing the boundaries and improving their abilities in a relaxed and fun environment.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Cat Santos began dancing at the age of 12 at All Starz Performing Arts Studio, based in Peakhurst, NSW, and went on to complete her High School Certificate at Newtown High School Of The Performing Arts. Deciding to further her training and continue her passion as a career, Cat joined the Brent Street Studios Full-time Course, attaining her Certificate IV in Dance in 2010.
Cat’s respect and passion for herself as a performing artist has kept her training and focusing on her craft in the Commercial Industry. Cat has worked on many Australian TV Series such as X Factor, The Voice, Australia’s Got Talent, Dance Academy and has worked with artists such as Nick Jonas, Ricky Martin, Dannii Minogue, Havana Brown, Red Foo, Flo Rida, Cher Lloyd, Timomatic, Ricki-lee, Delta Goodrem, Conrad Sewell and various others.
Cat has also had the pleasure in assisting various highly sought out choreographers such as Matt Lee, Marko Panzic, Stephen Tannos and most recently The Squared Division on the 2015 Television Series X Factor and many other projects.
In 2012 and again in 2017, Cat was thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with Kelley Abbey in Opera Australia’s production of “Carmen” on Sydney Harbour as one of the featured dancers and later was featured in the role of ‘Liza Minelli’ in her Australian Dance Festival piece for Project Dance – a recreation of her choreography “Sure Thing Baby” from the 2006 Arena Production of “The Boy From OZ”.
Cat has also been in all 3 Seasons of The Dream Dance Company directed by Marko Panzic, which is currently touring with “Enter The Vortex” - Choreographed by Sarah Boulter
Cat's ultimate goal is to reach out to all young aspiring dancers all over the globe, whether that be through teaching or performing and to motivate them to believe in them selves, how to be their own support system and how to also support the people around them through lessons that not only involve dance, but simply, lessons that are needed in every day life, through a fun, energetic and inspiring teaching method.
